Road condition and gritting treatment reports by The Highland Council’s, Transport, Environmental and Community Services for the morning of Wednesday 23 January 2013 are as follows:

Badenoch and Strathspey 
No further overnight snow. Continuing to treat all routes by priority (blading snow where necessary). A939 Bridge of Brown being bladed to widen to double width. Posted: 23/01/2013 09:33

Caithness and North Sutherland 
Caithness covering snow and ice on most of routes up to 2" on the A836 John O’ Groats road. Treatments on going by priority. North Sutherland up to 4" on routes in Tongue and Forsinard areas. Treatment on going by priority also. No problems reported all routes open. Posted: 23/01/2013 09:23

Skye and Lochalsh
Priority 1 routes checked with no problems reported. All roads cold but dry. Posted: 23/01/2013 08:49

South Sutherland and East Ross 
No issues. All routes patrolled and treated as required following policy, priority and procedure. Posted: 23/01/2013 08:24

Inverness
No problems throughout the area. Dusting of snow on some higher route. Patrolling high level roads. Posted: 23/01/2013 08:10

Ross and Cromarty
Generally no problems throughout the area. Odd snow flurries around Elphin. Odd icy patches on side roads both east and west, mainly where seepage. All routes being checked. Posted: 23/01/2013 08:03

Nairn
Grey frost on stretches of roads, light grit to Priority 1, 2 and 3 routes. Footpaths clear, no action. Posted: 23/01/2013 08:02
