Council staff raise laughs and money for Red Nose Day

Highland Council staff have raised some laughs and over £2,700 cash for Comic Relief by taking part in Red Nose fund raiser events throughout the Highlands.

At Inverness, Town House staff raised an amazing £1,022.55 for Comic Relief. They brought in cakes for a bake sale, as well as donating raffle prizes and wearing red wigs, noses, and head-bands. Some also took part in a “dress down day”, and Administrative Assistant Claire Worsfold dyed her hair red especially for the occasion. Claire also made funny red nose t-shirts with various characters and red noses on them.

Staff at Headquarters had a Red Nose Lunch in the Planning Office on Tuesday 12th and raised £210. A bake sale was held in the Chamber Foyer on Thursday 14th raising £633.81, and a Raffle in Planning on Friday 15th raised £200. In Council Offices Dingwall, staff raised £225 for a coffee morning. At Kintail House, Planning Office in Inverness £231 was raised through a Bake Sale; and at Wick staff dressed up for Red Nose Day and raised £190.

A huge thank you to everyone who was involved and donated time, money, food and laughs all for a good cause.
