Road condition and gritting treatment reports by The Highland Council’s, Transport, Environmental and Community Services for the morning of 19 March 2013 are as follows:

Ross and Cromarty
Snow cover on all routes, high level routes up to 15cms. Low levels routes 2-3cms, continuing to treat by priority. Posted: 19/03/2013 09:29

Badenoch and Strathspey 
2-3cm of snow in the south of the area 4-5cm in the north 7-8cm and slight drifting on the A939 Bridge of Brown. All routes being treated by priority. Posted: 19/03/2013 09:18

Skye and Lochalsh
Light snow showers on mainland and South of area. Elsewhere generally dry. Gritters called out 6am to cover light snow showers. Posted: 19/03/2013 09:15

Caithness and North Sutherland
Caithness icy patches on most routes. Dusting snow on inland and high routes. North Sutherland mix/dry Damp roads icy patches. Dusting snow Borgie and Bettyhill area. No problems reported. Posted: 19/03/2013 09:10

Nairn
5cm of snow on higher routes, 2.5 cm of snow on lower routes. Treating routes by priority. Posted: 19/03/2013 08:19

Inverness
Snow affecting all roads in area. Treating all routes by priority. Posted: 19/03/2013 07:01

Lochaber, South Sutherland and East Ross
No problems reported.
