Road condition and gritting treatment reports by The Highland Council’s, Transport, Environmental and Community Services for the morning of Friday 22 March 2013 are as follows:

Badenoch and Strathspey 
Blading and gritting carried out on high sections of A939 Dava and Bridge of Brown due to drifting snow. Posted 22/03/2013 08:31:43

Skye and Lochalsh
Roads dry throughout area.  Posted: 22/03/2013 09:17:03

Lochaber
Mixture of weather across the area with light snow in the South and West but dry in the North so routes have been treated as required. Posted: 22/03/2013 08:31:09

Caithness and North Sutherland
There has been strong wind throughout this morning with snow flurries on most routes in Caithness and the higher routes in north Sutherland.  All routes treated as necessary and no known problems. Posted: 22/03/2013 07:58:11

Inverness
Roads dry with no known problems.

Nairn

South Sutherland and East Ross
Roads dry with no known problems

Ross and Cromarty
East routes are generally dry with no problems.  Over in the West it is generally dry but with snow flurries starting north of Ullapool. Twelve inch snow drifts were on the top 200metre stretch of the Applecross Beallach road but these have been cleared.  Posted: 22/03/2013 08:00:23
