Finding the Findhorn, guided walk with Council Ranger – new date
The world famous river Findhorn has attracted people and wildlife for thousands of years. Highland Council Countryside Ranger John Orr is leading a guided walk on the middle reaches of the river on Sunday 26th May from 2-5pm after the previous walk in April was cancelled due to snow.
John said: “This is another chance to book on this beautiful walk after the one in April was cancelled due to heavy snow. The route takes us up above the river with spectacular views upstream towards The Findhorn Terraces then we descend to the deserted farm at Ballaggan at the river’s edge. Expect glorious views, fascinating history and a wealth of wildlife all connected with this part of the Findhorn. The walk is 5km or 3 miles and is a little steep in places.”
The walk costs £5 adults and £3children and concessions. Please bring walking boots, waterproofs and a snack/hot drink. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
For more information and to book a place please phone the Rangers on 01463 255291
