B9006 Culloden Road widening.

Motorists are being advised by The Highland Council that works to widen the B9006 Culloden Road, Inverness - including final surfacing phases to tie in new and existing carriageways - are continuing over the next few weeks.

The works are due for final completion in mid-June, weather permitting.

These necessary works will require stop/go traffic management for periods of time to allow works to proceed safely.  As a result, delays to traffic flows will occur during such periods. The stop/go boards will only be used when required and where possible will avoid peak time morning and afternoon traffic flows. Outwith peak hours, delays could be up to 20 minutes when single file working is necessary and the stop/go boards are in operation.

The Highland Council apologises for any possible delays and urges drivers to be patient and heed the manual stop/go traffic operators; allow extra time for their journeys or to use alternative routes where possible.

As usual, the Principal Contractor will endeavour to keep all delays and disruption to a minimum.  They would also like to thank the motoring public for their co-operation to date.
