Traffic shifts on B9006 Culloden Road widening works.

Motorists are advised that a new temporary traffic layout will be put in place today (Wednesday 29 May) at the B9006 Culloden Road works.

Traffic will be moved to the newly constructed road on the north side of the carriageway and will be managed under traffic light control.

The movements onto the new carriageway are anticipated to take place in the afternoon, once the contractors are assured that all final checks have taken place.

The shift of traffic is taking place to enable contractors to excavate and resurface the existing Culloden Road. The works are due for final completion in mid-June, weather permitting.

The Highland Council apologises for any possible delays and urges drivers to be patient, allow extra time for their journeys or to use alternative routes where possible.

The Contractor appreciates the continued co-operation of the motoring public and thanks them as the contract nears completion.
