Cromarty homes and heritage project – Exhibition to open

The Lottery-funded Cromarty Homes and Heritage Project, which has been ongoing in the Black Isle town since April this year, comes to an exciting climax on the weekend of 4/5 October with an Exhibition in Cromarty’s Victoria Hall.

The results of six months of oral history ‘Memories Sessions’, a guided tour of
wartime remains on the South Sutor, and a workshop on ‘Cromarty from the Air’ will all be presented in a series of display panels in the hall. Space will also be found for some of the discoveries from the ‘Medieval Cromarty’ archaeological dig that took place at the Reeds Park in the summer.

Cromarty Primary School, which has been an integral part of the Project, will be displaying the work done by every class in the school, focusing on buildings in the town. This will include drawings, writing and models of favourite buildings - some with flashing lights!
