Next meeting of East Ross District Partnership 30 May 2014

The next meeting of East Ross District Partnership will take place at 9.30am on Friday 30 May 2014 in the Training Room at The County Community Hospital, Invergordon.

New Chair Alasdair Lawton of the NHS Highland Board will chair the meeting. Alasdair joined NHS Highland Board in 1 April 2012 and his term runs to 31 March 2016. He runs a small consultancy practice that specialises in Independent Review and Due Diligence work.  Prior to this he worked as a Chartered Accountant and held many senior financial roles. Alasdair is a member of Torridon and Kinlochewe Mountain Rescue Team. Alasdair replaced Okain McLennan who stepped down from NHS Highland Board at the end of his term at the end of 2013.

The main items on the agenda include work placements in the voluntary sector for pupils and school leavers and a substantial item on the Health Profile of the East Ross which will include presentations from Paddy Luo-Hopkins, NHS Highland Head of Health Intelligence and Knowledge, and Catriona Coull from The Highland Council’s Policy Team. The presentations will be followed by discussion on the services provided to address the issues raised in the presentations.

As always, there will be an opportunity for members of the public to raise issues and ask questions.

Alasdair Lawton said, “I am delighted to be chairing the East Ross District Partnership and this first meeting certainly has plenty of important and pressing issues to discuss.  The item on the East Ross Health Profile and investigating the links with poverty and employability encapsulates the broad spectrum of issues covered by the partnership. I am looking forward to the meeting and hope that we have a good turn-out from members of the public.”
