Peek in the pond event

The Highland Council’s Rangers are inviting families to come and join them at Revack Estate in Badenoch and Strathspey on Wednesday 16 July to look for creatures living under the water.

Everyone coming along will have the chance to peek into the murky depths of the pond to find lots of different and wonderful creatures and beasties that lurk about in the water and mud.

Ranger Saranne Bish said: “Everyone enjoys guddling about in water. This is a great chance for people to come along and see for themselves what fabulous creepy crawlies choose to live in and on the water within the grounds of this gorgeous estate. It will be a great afternoon of fun for all the family.”

The event runs from 2pm to 4pm and anyone coming along should bring wellies and waterproofs and meet up with Saranne Bish at  the Revack Estate Coach car park. Grid ref: NJ032 256. The cost is £5 for adults, £3 for concessions and £12 for families.

Countryside Rangers run many events and guided walks which aim to help raise awareness and encourage appreciation of the scenery, wildlife and heritage of the Highlands. A programme of Ranger Guided Walks and Events is on the council’s website at: www.highland.gov.uk/countrysiderangerevents
