Letters to Loggie emergency temporary road closure

The Highland Council is advising residents and motorists that the Letters to Loggie Road west of Loch Broom off the A835 Ullapool Road will be closed from tomorrow from 11am Thursday 14 August to 5pm on Friday 15 August for emergency repairs.

The closure is to allow repairs to the road following a landslip on the west side of Loch Broom. A ramp will be constructed on the road to provide access to excavator plant which will divert the flow of water further up the hill.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times and in the event of an emergency the access ramp will be removed to allow access along the road. It is the Council’s highest priority to get the problem resolved and the road opened as quickly as possible.

The Council is working with local residents and local Council Members to ensure that the closure message is circulated as widely as possible among local residents and users of the Letters to Loggie Road.
