Buses diverted to take account of Badenoch road closure

Due to the closure of the A938 at Baddengorm railway bridge, Stagecoach Service 34X buses between Aviemore, Grantown and Inverness will be diverted.

This service will follow:

  • Normal timetable between Aviemore and Grantown
  • Direct route from Grantown via A95 to Granish junction to join A9, then to Inverness.
  • Normal timetable at Tomatin, Moy and Daviot.

Service 34X will NOT serve Dulnain Bridge or Carrbridge, except for the 4.07pm bus from Grantown which takes pupils home from school.

All other bus services in Badenoch and Strathspey, including the morning school bus from Carrbridge to Grantown, will operate as normal.

The Council and Stagecoach have agreed to provide local buses between Carrbridge and Grantown at 10.30am and 1.20pm, and from Grantown to Carrbridge at 11.40am These connect at Grantown with buses to or from Inverness.

At other times of day, passengers between Carrbridge and Inverness are advised to use the trains, or the normal bus service to Aviemore to connect with Citylink.
