Badenoch & Strathspey, Ardersier and Nairn District Partnership to focus on proposals for new hospital

The focus will be on the redesign of Health and Social Care Services for Badenoch and Strathspey.

Nigel Small, NHS Highland Director of Operations for South and Mid will outline the plans for the three month consultation period that will run from 21st April to 21st July.  A key element of the consultation will be the short list of four potential sites for the new hospital.

Items on the agenda will also include an update on the first year of Women’s Aid providing a service in Badenoch and Strathspey, discussion on the Family Team Structure, the Highland Parenting Framework and the role of Local Childcare Partnerships. In addition there will be an overview of the Reshaping Care for Older People Project in Nairn, Badenoch and Strathspey provided by the Community Networkers.

Gillian McCreath, who will chair the meeting said: ‘We have a good full agenda for the meeting covering a wide range of topics. It is also important that Badenoch and Strathspey residents are given the chance to have a say about the delivery of health and social care in their area and the District Partnership is a good way for them to engage with service providers. I hope we get a good turn-out for the meeting.”

The meeting starts at 1.00pm and as always, there will be an opportunity for members of the public to raise issues and ask questions.

District Partnerships meet to discuss issues relating to the delivery of Integrated Children’s and Adult Services. The agenda and notes of the last meeting are available on the Highland Council website: www.highland.gov.uk
