Interim elections for community councils
Nominations are invited from persons seeking election to Contin Community Council and Torridon and Kinlochewe Community Council.
The Community Council interim elections will take place on Thursday 5 March 2015 for these two Community Councils which were not established at the last round of interim elections held on Thursday 30 October 2014.
The deadline for receiving all nominations is 4pm on Wednesday, 4 February 2015.
Anyone seeking election must be entered in the current Electoral Register for the Community Council area, or if aged 16 or 17 years old, have completed a Voter Registration application.
Nomination forms and copies of the scheme for the establishment of Community Councils can be downloaded from the Highland Council Website; obtained on request, by e-mail to elections@highland.gov.uk; in person from any Service Point or from telephone no. 01349 868 626.
Completed nomination forms must be submitted to Robbie Bain, The Highland Council, Ward Manager, Council Offices, High Street, Dingwall, IV15 9QN and must be received not later than 4.00 p.m. on Wednesday 4 February 2015. The Ward Manager will accept e-mailed copies of the Form, so long as it has been correctly completed and contains the signature of the candidate and witness.
