Caol Consultation on Heating

Highland Council is to hold a meeting for residents of the village of Caol to discuss options for the provision of low cost, sustainable, environmentally-friendly heating in the area.

As part of a Scottish Government funded study, opinions will be sought on the heating options which will be presented to residents.

The meeting is to be held in Caol Community Centre on Monday 11th May from 7 to 8pm and will feature a presentation from Mabbett (Engineering Consultancy) which will outline the feasibility study. Highland Council representatives will also be in attendance to provide information and gather opinions. 

Topics to be outlined include:

  • District Heating: What is it? How does it work?
  • How is this going to affect the community? and
  • What could it mean for your heating bills?
