Chance to explore Highland Glen with Countryside Rangers

This weekend The Highland Council’s Countryside Rangers are running a guided walk exploring Glen Strathfarrar in Inverness-shire, one of the most beautiful Highland glens.

People are being invited to join them on Sunday (23 August) as they head off the beaten track in search of some ancient Caledonian pine forest, the wildlife it holds and some magnificent views on top of a small summit. 

The guided walk takes place from 10am to 4pm and booking is essential so anyone interested in coming along on Sunday is asked to contact Ranger Jenny Grant on 01463 255291/ 07917 307499 or e-mail  jenny.grant@highland.gov.uk. by 8pm on Friday evening to secure their place.  Details of where to meet up will be given out on booking. 

The walk is graded at level D so it will involve walking through and over mountainous terrain and a good level of fitness is required. The guided walk will cost £15 or £7.50 concession.
