Badenoch and Strathspey, Ardersier and Nairn District Partnership

The next meeting of the Badenoch and Strathspey, Ardersier and Nairn District Partnership will take place on Wednesday 2 September at 9.30 am at the Golf View Hotel in Nairn.

Councilor Jaci Douglas who chairs the Partnership, will update on the Mental Health and Wellbeing outcomes from the previous meeting. This will include looking at local joint projects to meet specific needs.

Councillor Douglas said: “I am excited about the opportunities there are through joint working to really make a difference in our communities. I want the District Partnership to be very solution focused and I am confident we can get some real actions moving for residents in Badenoch and Strathspey, Ardersier and Nairn who need support.”

The agenda will also include a presentation on the new Community Development Fund from Mhairi Wylie, Chief Officer with the Highland Third Sector Interface. The fund is designed for community and third sector groups to support the growth, development or establishment activities which providing services, activities or care for people with long term health conditions, to include older people. The fund allows for up to £40k per District Partnership area to be distributed in grants of up to £5k per application for community groups and charities operating in that area.

District Partnerships bring together a range of partners to discuss issues relating to the delivery of Integrated Children’s and Adult Services and health, social care and community safety issues in each Partnership area.
