Halloween Happenings At The Ness Islands

Halloween in Inverness promises to be extra spooky again this year with more creepy goings on at the Ness Islands.

Countryside Ranger John Orr explained: “This is a scary but fun family event for Halloween. The theme is based on creepy tales from around the Ness Islands. This beautiful backdrop will provide lots of nooks and crannies for ghosts and ghouls to hide in.”

Ranger Katy Martin added, “After 2004’s scarily successful event this year’s is going to be even scarier and bigger too. We had to turn away so many people who phoned us to book last time so we’ve decided to accommodate a lot more people this year.”

There will be three performances from Eden Court’s youth groups one of which will be co-ordinated by the Dance Artist for Inverness Louise Marshall.

“Our group’s have had a great time creating some horrible scenes,” said Louise, “We don’t want to give too much away …but let’s say it will be murderous, melodramatic and really quite gory!”

The event takes place from 6.30 0n Saturday 28th October. £3 for adults and £1.50 for children. Booking is essential. To book please phone the Highland Council Rangers on 01463 724312 or 7002932.
