Evening woodland tracking trek

The Highland Council Countryside Rangers are inviting families to join them for an evening woodland walk looking for tracks and clues to work out which animals live there.

Ranger Katy Martin said:  “Animals leave plenty of signs to show they live in the woods, this family friendly event shows people what to look for. At dusk some of these animals are more easily seen. Please dress warmly, bring a torch and a sense of adventure.”

The event, held in Farr woods by Inverness takes place from 7.30pm to 9.30pm on Friday 12 August.

The evening costs £4.50 for adults, £3.50 for concessions or £15/£11for families. Details of where to meet up will be given out at the time of booking. To book a place and for more information, please contact 01463 255291or rangers.inverness@highland.gov.uk

The Countryside Rangers run many events and guided walks which aim to help raise awareness and encourage appreciation of the scenery, wildlife and heritage of the Highlands. A programme of Ranger Guided Walks and Events is on the council’s website and at www.outdoorhighlands.co.uk
