The Italian Ambassador to the UK will receive a warm welcome from the Provost of Inverness, Helen Carmichael and local Members this Sunday (7 August) when he attends a concert at the Town House in Inverness.

The concert in Inverness will celebrate the visit to Scotland by the Italian Ambassador to the UK H.E. Pasquale Q. Terracciano.

Hosted by The Highland Council’s City of Inverness Area Committee with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute of Edinburgh, the concert will be performed by Accademia dei Cameristi: Trio Grittani – dell’Oglio – Zaccaria.

This wonderful trio features three young musicians from the Cameristi di Bari Academy: Leonardo Grittani, (transverse flute), Eduardo dell’Oglio (cello) and Maurizio Zaccaria (piano).

The concert will showcase the breadth of exciting music available for this instrument combination. The trio’s program of music will span from the 18th to 20th Century, focusing on themes highlighting the variety of instruments played by the trio.

Provost Carmichael said: “I would like to extend the hand of friendship to Ambassador Pasquale Q. Terracciano on behalf of the City of Inverness Members and we look forward to celebrating and supporting the culture of Italy by hosting this concert at the Town House.”

The concert is by invitation only.
