Drumnadrochit nature walk with a poetic twist

The Highland Council Rangers are running a nature walk with a twist in Drumnadrochit on Tuesday 23rd August.

Entitled ‘The Walking Poet’, the event will be at a relaxed pace and participants will be able to enjoy reading some nature-inspired poetry along the route and have a go at creating their own.

Ranger Jenny Grant said: “If you are a writer and or a nature lover, this might be up your street. Whether you are a published poet or someone who has always wanted to have a go, everyone is welcome. All materials will be provided and there will be no obligation to read or write if you don’t want to.”

The Walking Poet, takes place on Tuesday 23rd August from 1.30pm to 4pm. Places are limited and should be booked in advance by contacting the rangers who will then give details of where to meet up. The event costs £3.50 per concession or £4.40 per adult
