Inverness Car Club scheme drives ahead

A car club scheme for Inverness has got the final go ahead for a two year trial period as Members of The Highland Council’s City of Inverness Area Committee have rejected objections to 6 proposed car club bay sites in Inverness.

The 6 locations including 2 bays on Academy Street; 2 bays on Castle Street; 1 bay on upper Church Street and 1 bay on Bank Street were all removed from an on-street traffic regulation order following objections from Crown Community Council and Inverness BID.

Members of the City of Inverness Area Committee were asked to consider the objections about the 6 car club bay locations.

Members have rejected the objections made by Crown Community Council and Inverness BID and the 16 car club bays - as advertised as part of The Highland Council Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading and Parking Places (Decriminalised Parking Enforcement and Consolidation) Order 2016 - will come into force with immediate effect.
