Highland primary and nursery enrolment goes digital

Highland Council is inviting parents to enrol their child for nursery and primary 1 for the 2017/18 school year.

If your child will be five years of age on or before 28 February 2018, they are eligible to enrol for Primary 1.

Children born between 1 March 2013 and 28 February 2015 are entitled to a funded Early Learning and Childcare place.

Enrolment week for primary 1 is from Monday 30 January to Friday 3 February 2017, and for nurseries from Monday 13 February to Friday 17 February.

During enrolment weeks, parents should enrol their child in their local school or nursery.

This year, Highland Council has introduced a new online enrolment form, allowing parents to complete the enrolment process online. The online form will be available on the council website and can be used anytime, anywhere, on any device. The form will collect all the information you need to enrol your child, including the ability to upload a photograph or scanned copy of your child’s birth certificate and proof of address.

Once you have submitted your enrolment application, the school or nursery will be in touch to arrange induction.

For more information, or enrol your child online, go to www.highland.gov.uk/enrol.

For those unable to access or use the online forms - printed copies of all forms can be requested from your local school.
