Proposed change to the catchment boundary for Inverlochy and Lundavra Primary Schools

Highland Council is to seek the views of local communities on a proposal to change the catchment boundary between Inverlochy Primary School and Lundavra Primary School.

The change is being proposed because a new housing development is being built across the existing boundary.

Members of the Education, Children and Adult Services Committee have agreed to undertake a public consultation on the proposal.

The consultation will take place under procedures set down in The Schools (Consultation) (Scotland) Act 2010. The views of parents, the local community and others will be sought over a period extending from 6 February to 23 March 2017.

A public meeting will be held in Fort William on 8 March 2017.

The proposal paper and associated documentation will be available on the Highland Council website from 6 February, at: www.highland.gov.uk/schoolconsultations.
