Electoral Canvassers - Western Isles

We are looking for Electoral Canvassers to work alongside staff in our area office in Stornoway to doorstep canvass properties in North Uist, South Uist, Benbecula and Barra areas.  Hours are flexible with some evening and Saturday work required.

You will be required to visit assigned properties to make attempts to obtain electoral registration information from all these properties with use of a tablet.  Well-developed oral communication skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with members of the public are essential along with being able to use IT equipment.

You will be required to undertake a basic Disclosure check.

Valuer

Applications are invited for this post based at the Board's Headquarters office at Moray House, 16-18 Bank Street, Inverness.

The above post is open to qualified Chartered Surveyors, preferably with experience and knowledge of rating and council tax valuation, law and practice. 

Further Information

For this post good interpersonal, communication and computer skills are essential. You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within the valuation area to meet the operational needs of the department.

You will be required to undertake a Basic Disclosure Check.
