Parking bays for people with disabilities

A disabled persons’ parking bay is an area marked on the road to show that the space has been reserved for a disabled person. We will try to put it outside or near your home but we need to consider road safety issues.

Request a parking bay

You can apply for a disabled persons' parking bay if:

  • You or a member of your household is disabled and has a blue badge
  • You or that person owns, or has the regular use of, a vehicle which is kept at that address

You can also request an application form from your local Service Point or by calling our Service Centre.

Remember when using a disabled persons’ parking place:

  • You must have your blue badge on display in your car, otherwise the police or traffic warden can issue you with a fine
  • These parking places are not for your exclusive use and can be used by anyone displaying a blue badge
