Committees

A special meeting of the Caithness, Sutherland and Easter Ross Planning Applications and Review Committee will take place in the Ross Institute, Halkirk, on Tuesday 4 December 2007, commencing with a site visit at 10.30am, followed by a Hearing to be held in the Ross Institute (estimated commencement time of 12.30 p.m).

The Institute is located in the village of Halkirk on the right hand side of the main road north, directly opposite the Ulbster Arms Hotel.

Members are reminded that in the determination of a planning application which is the subject of a Hearing, to be entitled to participate in any vote, Members must be present throughout all of the proceedings.

There is circulated Report PLC-40-07 (2595kb pdf) providing an update on appeal submitted to Scottish Ministers in relation to the application 07/0037/FULCA for alterations to workshops (revised plans) at units north west of Radio Station, Neil Gunn Drive, Ormlie Industrial Estate, Thurso.  It is recommended that Members consider their response to the appeal, in terms of the three options set out in the report, and provide an explanation for that decision in order that the Council’s Statement on the Appeal can be submitted to the Scottish Government by the deadline of 14 December 2007.
