  • Inverlochy Primary School – lock down

    Following the sighting of a male with a weapon in the Camanachd Crescent area of Fort William this afternoon (Friday 16 March 2018), Inverlochy Primary School management made the decision to have an immediate lock down until the situation was deemed safe.

  • Hub funding a welcome boost for Strathdearn

    Strathdearn residents are celebrating an injection of £500,000 to help build their new community Hub in Tomatin. Strathdearn Community Developments, the local community company, is one of several bodies in the Highlands to get support from the Scottish Government’s Regeneration Capital Grant Fund. Further funding for the Hub will come from community benefit associated with local wind farms.

  • Double success brings new marina at Corpach closer to fruition

    The Scottish Government has announced this week that the Highland Council has been awarded a £1,465,000 Regeneration Capital Grant Fund grant for a new marina on Loch Linnhe at the entrance to the Caledonian Canal at Corpach. The grant is awarded to the Highland Council on behalf of the Caol Regeneration Company, who are developing the Thomas Telford Corpach Marina as a community project.
