Interim Community Council Elections – Close of Nominations

Issued on behalf of the Returning Officer 

Following the close of nominations on Tuesday 2 September noon, the statements of persons nominated for each community council have been published on the council’s website and we are now able to confirm that out of 13 Community Councils seeking membership, 7 have formed, 3 have not formed and 3 may require an election as they exceed the number of available vacancies. 

A contest will be held on Friday 10 October 2025 if, following the withdrawal deadline of 12 noon on Tuesday 9 September 2025, the number of valid nominations continues to exceed the number of available vacancies. 

Where a contest is required, postal ballot papers, along with candidate statements, will be issued to all registered voters on Tuesday 23 September 2025.
