Dog control
A dog is out of control if:
- It is not being kept under control effectively and consistently
- Its behaviour causes alarm, or fear to any person or animal
If any dog is out of control we have the power to serve a Dog Control Notice.
A dog is dangerously out of control in any public place if it bites or tries to bite a person or seriously injures or kills another animal. This should be reported immediately to the Police for action under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991.
