Final response by Highland Council to BT's proposed removal of the public call box service at Dunmaglass and Glen Etive (2020/21).
Please note this consultation has now closed.
On 15 February 2021, Highland Council responded to BT’s proposals regarding removal of the phone service at two public call boxes:
- Adoption by the local community of the kiosk at Glen Etive ‘Old Post Office’ (PH49 4JA);
- Non-reinstatement following damage at Dunmaglass Road End, at the junction for Abersky (IV2 6YS).
Under Ofcom guidelines, the Local Authority is responsible for co-ordinating a consultation and responding on behalf of the Highland community.
The Council’s response to BT is based upon representations received during two phases of public consultation, the second phase closing on 13 February 2021.
Based upon consultation feedback, the Council has found no evidence for objection to BT’s proposals for removal at Dunmaglass and adoption by the local community at Glen Etive.
