Inverness crematorium

Our crematorium is located at Kilvean Cemetery, just outside Inverness city centre. The setting is peaceful and rural.

The crematorium opened in 1995 and is managed by our bereavement services team.

Getting to the crematorium

Inverness Crematorium is located at Kilvean Cemetery, just outside the city centre. It is accessible by car, taxi or public transport.

Parking

The main car park has a one-way system in place - follow the signs. A surplus car park is available when the main one is full.

Parking is for crematorium visitors only - no overnight parking or camping is allowed.

Drive carefully and do not exceed 10mph.

We are not responsible for damage to vehicles or property.

Behaviour and safety

To keep the crematorium respectful and safe for everyone, you must not:

• use offensive or disorderly language
• interfere with other visitors or staff
• ignore staff instructions
• bring dangerous items
• damage or remove any property

Only guide dogs are allowed inside the crematorium.

If rules are broken

If you break the rules, we may:

• ask you to leave
• ban you from returning
• report you for prosecution

You could be fined if you refuse to leave or return while banned.
