Volunteer with adult learning

How to volunteer

Adult Learning provides free, confidential tuition on a one-to-one or small group basis. We provide help to people seeking to improve their literacy, numeracy and digital literacy skills, and encourage personal confidence and lifelong learning. We also work with people who speak English as a second language.

Essential attributes of volunteers include:

  • reliability
  • excellent communication skills
  • empathy and understanding
  • an inspirational personality that engenders enthusiasm and trust
  • a commitment to undertaking our tutor training course

If you are interested in volunteering, get in touch with us.
