You must follow these terms when hiring a skip from us.
Tell us what type of waste you are disposing of
We will ask you to confirm the type of waste when you book. This helps us charge the correct rate.
If the skip contains waste that does not match the description you gave, you may be charged extra. For example, if a skip hired at household rates contains construction waste, you will need to pay the difference.
You are responsible for the skip
While the skip is hired to you, you are responsible for:
- keeping it secure
- any waste deposited into it
Hazardous and liquid waste
You must not put hazardous or liquid waste in the skip. This includes:
- asbestos
- oil
- car batteries
- fluorescent bulbs
- pesticides
- chemicals

What counts as household waste
Household waste includes:
- black bag waste from your home
- furniture and domestic appliances
Household waste does not include:
- rubble, plasterboard or bathroom suites
- kitchen units or doors
- fridges, freezers or tyres
- upholstered furniture such as sofas, armchairs, footstools, beanbags or some office chairs
