How to use Recite Me
We have added a toolbar to our website called Recite Me. It helps people read and understand our pages in ways that work best for them.
What is Recite Me?
Recite Me is a tool that makes websites easier to use. It helps:
- People who have trouble seeing
- People who think and learn differently (like dyslexia or ADHD)
- People who do not speak English as their first language
- Anyone who wants to change how the website looks or sounds
How to use it
- Find and select the “Accessibility Tools” button at the top of the page
- The toolbar will open at the top of your screen
What can it do?
Read text out loud
- Use the play button to hear the words
- You can change the voice and speed
Translate languages
- Change the website into over 100 different languages
- Choose your language from the list
Change how things look
- Make the text bigger or change the font
- Change colours to make reading easier
Help with reading
- Use a ruler to follow lines
- Use a screen mask to block out other parts
- Use a dictionary to learn what words mean
Save and listen later
- You can save the text as an audio file to listen to later
