How to get permission
You need permission before you fit CCTV in your home. This is to make sure it meets legal and safety requirements.

What you need to do
We will grant permission if you follow advice from Police Scotland and provide evidence. This means you must:
- register with the Information Commissioner’s Office
- display a warning sign
- follow Police Scotland guidance on domestic CCTV
