Planning conditions
Conditions may be imposed on planning consents to retain or plant trees. These serve as protective measures and are not limited to Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs) or Conservation Areas. Permission is required for any works to trees protected by planning conditions.
Conditions may relate to the retention and protection of existing trees on development sites, as well as the planting of new trees within landscaping schemes. Contact your Local Planning Officer to confirm whether your property is subject to any planning conditions before undertaking tree works.
