Description

Keiss Primary School is a rural Primary School with children in classes one to seven, there is also a nursery class.

There are three permanent staff members so the school is divided up as follows: P1/ P2/ P3; P4/ P5; and P6/P7.

This organisation can sometimes be changed due to the varying school roll and the size of individual year groups.

There are records of schools in this area over two hundred years ago.

These early schools were on different sites in Keiss, and in the neighbouring communities of Auckengill and Lyth.

The pupils of all of these communities have been progressively drawn under one roof, and the present school building was opened in August, 1971.

It was completely refurbish
