Staffin school serves Staffin and the surrounding villages.
The area is mainly croftland.
There are presently 3 classes in the school and a Nursery which was purpose built.

5 classes are in Gaidhlig medium.
) The Nursery is also Gaidhlig Medium and has one member of staff with 5 morning sessions for children aged 3-5 years.
The school has its own gym hall/dining hall with kitchen.
It also has access to a playing field.
There is an outdoor play area with climbing frame which children may access outside school hours.
A respite unit to support families with additional support needs is based in the restructured school house and offers a range of facilities.
