A862 Great North Road and Various Roads, Muir of Ord 40mph Speed Limit - Road safety team consultations

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The Highland Council proposes to make an Order in terms of Section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 entitled as above. 

If the Order comes into force, the Order will introduce a 40mph speed limit on the following roads in Muir of Ord over their entire length, unless stated otherwise below:

A862 Ardullie – Dingwall – Beauly – Inverness Road, also known in part as Great North Road, for a total distance of 1644 metres or thereby.

U3155 Windhill Road for its entire length.

U3156 Tomich Road for its entire length.

All objections to the proposals must be made in writing and must specify the grounds of objection on or before 25 September 2026 to the following:
