HIBIKE Fort William Scheme launched in April 2022.
Fort William currently has fourteen Hi-BIKE stations to help you travel across town quickly.
They can be found at:
- Travel Centre (outside the Train Station/Underpass)
- Caol (Erracht Drive/Glenloy Street)
- on the High Street (outside the Royal Bank of Scotland)
- Inverlochy Square
- Blar Mhor (two sites - Ben View and The Grazings)
- Upper Achintore (Lochaber Road), Corpach (Kilmallie Hall)
- Glen Nevis Campsite
- UHI West Highland College
- Fort William Medical Centre (Camaghael)
- Highland Council Office (Charles Kennedy Building)
- Lochaber Environment Group (An Drochaid, Claggan Road)
- North Road Retail Park (by ALDI)
In its first year of operation, between April 2022 and April 2023, the Hi-Bikes had been ridden a total of 28,689 miles on 9068 rides. Ongoing monitoring of usage is currently undertaken by Lochaber Environmental Group who also refurbish, repair and hire bikes through their Bike Shed project.
