In May 2023 there was a confirmed expansion for the Gaelic primary school, Bun-Sgoil Ghaidhlig Loch Abar to cope with an increasing school role. Construction of an extension took place in the summer of 2024, and the school took possession of two new classrooms on 16th Sept 2024.
