U3618, Newton Road Traffic Calming - Road safety team consultations

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The Highland Council, in terms of the powers contained in section 36 and 37 of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 as amended, The Road Humps (Scotland) Regulations 1998 and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf propose to construct speed cushions on Newton Road, U3618, Wick, as follows:

• Speed cushions (1 pair) are located on the U3618 Newton Road, 37 metres or thereby Southwest of its junction with Wick Community Campus bus and drop off road, Wick

The speed cushions are 75mm in height (max), 2000 mm wide and 2500 mm in length with approach ramp gradient of 1:8 and side slope gradient of 1:4.

All observations or objections to the proposals must be made in writing and objections must specify the grounds of objection on or before the 30th October 2026 to the following:
