A838 Tongue 30mph speed limit - Road safety team consultations

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The Highland Council proposes to make an Order in terms of Section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 entitled as above.

If the Order comes into force, the Order will introduce a 30mph speed limit on the following roads in Tongue over their entire length, unless stated otherwise below:

Route A838, Lairg – Tongue Road From a point 45 metres or thereby north of the centre line of Route U1643, extending in a northerly direction for a distance of 470 metres or thereby.

All objections to the proposals must be made in writing and must specify the grounds of objection on or before the 29th May 2026 to the following:
