What we are doing
Current priorities
The stakeholder group is currently focused on:
- developing best value options for reintroducing air services to Ashaig Aerodrome on the Isle of Skye
- making the case for continued support for all Highland and Island airports in relation to Air Passenger Duty and any future replacement schemes
- engaging with the Department for Transport to ensure the region’s needs are reflected in the UK Aviation Strategy
- preparing a strong Highlands and Islands response to the UK Aviation Strategy Green Paper consultation
- securing the extension of the Air Discount Scheme for business users and students
