What the centre will offer
The centre will provide:
- a state-of-the-art facility for research, development and commercialisation
- space for clinical research linked to applied health and life sciences
- professional support for commercialising new products and services
- technical support for product development
- a development pipeline for spin-outs, technologies and services
It will help turn research into real-world solutions and support the growth of the life sciences sector in the Highlands.
Latest position
Work is underway to develop the concept design and strategic briefing for the new facility. This is being done in partnership with:
- NHS Highland
- Highlands and Islands Enterprise
- the University of the Highlands and Islands
The partners are exploring a range of options for how the centre will operate and collaborate across research, clinical activity and commercialisation.
Extensive discussions are ongoing to finalise the operational model and ensure the centre meets the needs of businesses, researchers and healthcare professionals.
