Information for voters
The election process will begin when the Notice of Election is published by the Returning Officer. The Notice will be published on Thursday 21 January 2027.
For the purposes of these elections, the National Park area has been divided into 5 electoral wards. A poll will take place by post if more than one candidate stands for election in your ward. This is known as a contested election.
In the case of a contested election, a ballot paper will be issued to every eligible registered voter whose name is listed on the Register of Electors.
You can expect to receive your ballot paper by mail around the week commencing Monday 1 March 2027.
To cast your vote you will need to return your ballot paper in the pre-paid envelope that will be provided. Ballot papers must be received by Thursday 25 March by 12pm to be valid.
The Count for any contested electoral wards will commence from 2pm on Thursday 25 March.
