Uig harbour

Located on Skye’s north coast along the shores of Loch Snizort, Uig Harbour offers clear approaches with no outlying hazards. The cliffs of Scuidburgh to the north provide an excellent radar reference point for incoming vessels.

Uig serves as the main ferry terminal for the Uists and Harris, making it a vital transport link in the region.

The harbour supports active fish landings, including prawns (nephrops), brown crabs, scallops, and farmed salmon. Visiting yachts can find reliable anchorage north of the pier and access the landing steps with ease.
