Our vision for housing in the Highlands
Everyone should have a good quality home they can afford to live in and heat. A safe, warm and affordable home helps people stay healthy and reach their full potential. It also helps build strong communities that benefit everyone.
Our Highland Housing Strategy sets out what we’ll do over the next 5 years to:
- Build more homes in the right places to meet local needs
- Help people live independently in their own homes and communities for as long as possible
- Prevent homelessness and make sure people get the right support to make informed housing choices
- Improve housing quality and reduce fuel poverty so homes are more comfortable and affordable
