Programme and cost management

Our team

Our main role is the management and delivery of construction programmes and projects within the council’s Capital Programme. This includes:
  • Providing a client-focused and efficient project management service
  • Making sure programmes of work are adequately developed, resourced and effectively managed to a successful conclusion
  • Delivery of projects, varying in size and complexity, ensuring they are managed within timescales and budgets
  • Cost estimating, cost control and the cost management of projects
  • Development and maintenance of project management arrangements, making sure they are practical, simple, accessible and effective in delivering a high quality, cost effective service
  • Ensuring that the progress of programmes and projects are regularly monitored and that progress reports are submitted to relevant client groups
  • Acting as the interface between client bodies and delivery teams
  • Management of external professional appointments
  • Managing and maintaining contract documents, ensuring a streamlined approach is used for all projects
